This lens is the same size as the S-S40 fixed focal length lens, and matches the size of the S-R1840 zoom lens when retracted. All three also share the same 62mm filter diameter. Dust-, Splash- and Freeze-Resistant Design
Because this is a lens you will want to carry with you every day, it is designed to let you keep shooting in unpredictable environments. Its dust- and splashresistant construction helps you capture fleeting moments, while allowing you to shoot in temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius. The fluorine coating applied to the front lens makes it easy to remove oil-based dirt that sticks to it.
