Photography Instruction For Beginners to Professionals
Beginner Photography Course October 20, 2021 6:00pm-7:30pm Cost: $50
Course Details: This course is designed to introduce and familiarize students with the basic principles of photography. Specifically addressing the exposure triangle and how to expose, as well as touching on appropriate flash use and basic composition techniques.
Prerequisites: This is what you need to bring to class with you • DSLR or Mirrorless camera, preferably an interchangeable lens camera • A notepad or notebook for notes, or a cell phone • NO COMPUTERS, they are too loud during the presentation
Objectives: After completing this course, students should be able to do the following • Understand the exposure triangle and be able to change these settings without affecting the exposure • Mount and unmount lenses from the camera body • Appropriately hold and support the camera during operating • Change the exposure mode on the program dial • Make an educated decision about composition and when to use built-in flash
Instructor Carson Gordon Carson has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Film and Video from Drexel University and has been working in the Film/Video/Photography field for 10 years. Since graduation Carson has shared his passion by teaching classes and offering equipment demonstrations at his alma mater. Carson is an award-winning filmmaker with credits in over over 30 projects. Carson joined the Allen's Camera team over two years ago, bringing with him a thirst for knowledge and passion to share it.
