Looking for an ideal focal length range and outstanding performance, including excellent close-focus capability? Look no further. This lens is perfect for capturing flocks of birds, detailed close-ups of wildlife and insects, and a variety of natural habitats.
Reach up to 800mm
In bird and wildlife photography, reach is essential. Starting at 400mm to capture subjects from a distance in their natural habitats, and extending to 800mm for detailed portraits (35mm equivalent), all while avoiding disturbance to the animals.
Extend to 1600mm
This lens is compatible with teleconverters, offering super telephoto shooting up to 1600mm (35mm equivalent) with the M.Zuiko Digital 2x Teleconverter MC-20. Perfect for capturing distant wildlife without disturbance, it’s also compatible with the M.Zuiko Digital 1.4x Teleconverter MC-14.
Tele + Macro = Telemacro
Featuring a 1.3-meter minimum focusing distance, this lens allows telemacro shooting with 0.57x magnification (35mm equivalent). Ideal for photographing insects like butterflies, it also supports Focus Stacking on compatible OM SYSTEM cameras for sharp images with enhanced depth of field.
