The greatest feature of this lens is the world's first 16.6x zoom ratio as an APS-C size mirrorless compatible lens. The focal length covers 18-300mm (equivalent to 27-450mm in 35mm format). Tamron's original linear motor focus mechanism VXD is used for AF drive. Since it has the highest level of speed, accuracy, and responsiveness as a high-magnification zoom lens, you can comfortably focus from the shortest shooting distance to infinity even at a super-telephoto 300mm (equivalent to 450mm in the 35mm format). .. It also has extremely high focus tracking, so you won't miss the decisive moment when shooting insects, animals, vehicles, etc. As for quietness, the lens group for focusing can be driven directly without going through gears, so the driving noise of the motor is small, making it ideal for still image shooting and movie shooting in a quiet environment.
Amazing maximum shooting magnification of 1: 2 as a high-power zoom lens
The Model B061 boasts excellent close-up shooting capabilities that overturn the conventional wisdom of high-power zoom lenses. At the wide-angle end of 18mm, the shortest shooting distance was 0.15m and the maximum shooting magnification was 1: 2. This lens is a high-resolution zoom lens that is particular about depiction performance while being a high-magnification zoom lens.
